oke so i refuse to give up.. and meaby its simple and i am to much of a noob but i plan to figure this out.

so i did another fresh install again.
and "chromium-browser"
still gives me:

Code:

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ chromium-browser[2117:2177:1220/174513.903903:ERROR:v4l2_utils.cc(584)] Could not open /dev/video10: Permission denied (13)[2117:2177:1220/174513.905772:ERROR:v4l2_utils.cc(584)] Could not open /dev/video10: Permission denied (13)
checked my versions:

Code:

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ hostnamectl Static hostname: raspberrypi Icon name: computer Machine ID: 08cc792ac8164996958978c2297c97d9 Boot ID: 118f3e061328413084dbc870975a8ae3Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) Kernel: Linux 6.6.62+rpt-rpi-v8 Architecture: arm64 pi@raspberrypi:~ $ uname -aLinux raspberrypi 6.6.62+rpt-rpi-v8 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.6.62-1+rpt1 (2024-11-25) aarch64 GNU/Linuxpi@raspberrypi:~ $ chromium --versionChromium 130.0.6723.116 built on Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)
and this version of chromium is the same as i have running on a pi4 wich has no errors.
v4l2 seems to refer to a camera attached or something related so does the video10, but i have nothing connected, its just a clean SD install on a default pi.

permission denied would state some of the permissions are wrong but i see no difference in the permissions of the broken install or the working one.

So it has me wondering, is there a setting that makes the pi think i have a camera or something and therefore tries to use the video10?
i am kinda lost so just spitballing here atm..
